Social canteen
In 2000 as a result of father Simion Sasaujan's endeavor, the social canteen of "Sf. Nicolae" Association is set up for the benefit of 30 poor orphan children. These children are attending Ist and XIth grades, and have been taking lunch in the canteen for 6 years.
At present the social canteen provides food for 80 persons, among whom there are children, elderly persons and poor homeless people.
Food is cooked by the father's wife, Eugenia Sasaujan, who togehter with other two women are working hard in oder to give the needy persons a hot meal each day.
Camps
Each year, during the summer holiday, chidren from "Sf Nicolae" Association enjoy a summer camp, for a period of ten days, eiher in a resort, or in a convent, or in a specially organized camp. It's there where they organize programmes and contests in the open air, they take trips, they pay visits to monasteries, museums or tourist sites. Children are accompanied by the employees of the Association and are well taken care of.
For lack of funds, this camps are sponsored.
Leisure activities and involvement in the community life
At the end of each month, on Saturdays and Sundays, the elderly are assisted at their home and the ones that can walk, are recieved at the locaiton of "St Nicolae" Associaiton of Sibiu in an adequate environment where thay can enjoy, along with information and counseling, also leisure activities
(discussions, lecture, organizing and celebrating their birthday and other major events, the time when they pray to God for the health and the aid of the sick, of the lonely and the poor).
Holidays
Durin major anual holydays, as Christmas and Christ Ressurection, chidren of the Association prepare specific programmes for that paricular holiday.
For instance, at Christmas, tehy oragnize christmas carolls concerts, they recieve Santa Clause, children receive gifts and enjoy meeting with other
chidlren from different schools, high school in the city, other Associations, together they recite poetry, tehyr sing, and theyr stage theatre plays which they perfom in the church after mass.
The parish attandants admire the children activities and offer them their love and gifts.
